Somebody Should Check the French Fries in the Greenwood High School Cafeteria

February 4, 2010

There has got to be something rotten in the food to make Kelcy Quarles say something litiger eating chickenke this:

"That shows you right there that there's pride in going to South Carolina instead of Clemson or somewhere out of state," said Quarles, who attended Lattimore's announcement. "We're going to beat Clemson every year, so they might as well get ready for it."

I hope he's preparing for a comedy career, because Clemson losing to Soccer Liner even two years in a row would be a monumental, historic event. So, somebody should let Kelcy Quarles know that four in a row is HIGHLY unlikely.

Checking in on some changes going on at schools I attended here in Greenwood

This is where Southside used to be; it's completely gone now. What you see here is to be the new Mathews Elementary.

Speaking of Mathews...

...it still looks the same.

This is the car-riders' entrance to Mathews. I can clearly remember the first time I walked in there in 1981. I spent the following school year bored. I actually didn't learn anything I did not already know until 2nd or 3rd grade.

Since I took the risk of parking my car on Gage Street for this photo, I hope it arouses good memories (for former GATAS students) of Dr. Bob, bean bags, lofts, and that phenomenal playground.
